Privacy Policy — Jorip

Last updated: 7 September 2026

This policy explains what data the Jorip Android app (com.progedify.landcalculator) collects, why, and what choices you have. It is written to describe what the app actually does — not a generic template.

In short: Jorip asks for no account, no name, no email and no location, and it operates no server. Every measurement, saved plot, note and price you enter is stored only on your device and is never sent to us. The ad-supported version of the app shows ads, and our advertising partner (Google AdMob) collects some device data to serve them. A separate ad-free build collects nothing at all and does not even request internet access.

1. Who we are

This app is published by Progedify. For any privacy question or request, contact cse.sadhan@gmail.com.

2. Your land records stay on your phone

A saved plot in Jorip may be the only written record of a measurement somebody walked a field to take, and it may carry a name, a mouza, a deed number or a price. That makes it the most sensitive thing this app holds, so it is worth being exact:

Jorip does not ask for your location, and it cannot see where you or your land are. It measures from numbers you type, not from GPS.

3. Data the app itself collects

None that leaves your device. We operate no server and hold no user database.

DataWhere it is storedWhy
Saved plots — the name and note you give one, its area, and how it was measured Locally on your device only So you can open a measurement again instead of taking it twice
Prices you enter — a rate, a total, a budget, an extra-cost percentage Locally on your device only So the price screen still holds your last calculation when you come back to it
Your unit settings — any conversion value you have changed, units you have hidden, units you have invented, and which Kani your area uses Locally on your device only They are the whole point of the app: your district's measure, kept
Preferences — language, numerals, theme, decimal places, currency symbol Locally on your device only So the app opens the way you left it

This data is never transmitted to us. Uninstalling the app deletes it.

4. Data collected by advertising

The ad-supported version of Jorip displays ads through Google AdMob. To serve, measure and prevent fraud in advertising, Google may collect and process:

Your land records are not used to target ads. Nothing you enter in Jorip — no measurement, no plot name, no note, no price, no unit you have edited — is read by the advertising code, shared with Google, or used to decide which ad you see. The ad software has no access to your entries, and we send it none. The data above is what the device itself provides to any ad-supported app.

Ads in Jorip are full-screen only and are shown after a task you have finished, such as saving a plot. They are never shown while you are entering a measurement or a price, and never on the screen where you edit your unit values.

This collection is performed by Google, not by us, and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. See also how Google uses data from apps that use its services.

5. Your choices about ads

6. Permissions the app asks for

PermissionWhat it is for
VibrateThe short tap you feel when a control responds
InternetAd-supported build only. The ad-free build does not request internet access at all, and neither build sends your data anywhere

That is the whole list. Jorip does not ask for location, camera, contacts, storage, your gallery, or permission to send notifications.

7. Children

This app is intended for people aged 13 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has used this app and provided information, contact us and we will act on it.

8. Jorip does not give legal, valuation or inheritance advice

Jorip does arithmetic on numbers you type. A converted area, a price, or a share of a divided plot is a calculation from your own entries — it is not a survey, a valuation, a title record, or legal advice, and it is not a substitute for a licensed surveyor, an amin, a dolil writer or a lawyer.

Land measure in Bangladesh varies by district, and some units — Kani above all — have more than one size in daily use. The app ships defensible default values, states them plainly, and lets you change every one of them, precisely because no single table is correct everywhere. Which value applies to your land is your decision and your local authority's, not this app's.

Jorip is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Ministry of Land or any government department, land office or survey authority. Unit names follow the Ministry of Land's published list; the conversion values are computed exactly from a single base rather than copied from it.

9. Data we would have to disclose

None, because we hold none. We have no server, no database and no account system, so there is no store of user data we could search, disclose, sell or lose. This is a property of how the app is built rather than a promise about how we behave.

10. Analytics

The app contains no analytics SDK. We do not measure how you use it, and we receive no crash reports containing your data.

11. Backup and restore

The backup file you create from the app is written wherever you choose to save it, through the Android file picker. It contains your saved plots, your unit settings and your preferences. From that point it is an ordinary file on your device or in whatever cloud drive you saved it to, governed by that service's terms rather than by this policy.

Restoring a backup adds the plots it contains to the ones already on the phone rather than replacing them, so restoring an old file cannot silently delete a measurement you took since. Importing the same file twice adds nothing the second time.

12. Your rights

Because all of your data stays on your device, you exercise every right directly: view it in the app, edit or delete any plot, back it up from the app, and remove all of it by uninstalling or by using "Erase everything" in Settings. There is nothing held by us to request, correct or erase. If you have a question about any of this, contact us.

13. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a revised date above. Material changes affecting how data is handled will also be noted in the app's release notes.
