Privacy Policy — Hitpan

This policy explains what data the Hitpan: Makeup Try On Android app (com.progedify.makeup) collects, why, and what choices you have. It is written to describe what the app actually does — not a generic template.

In short: Hitpan asks for no account, no name and no email, and it operates no server. Your makeup collection, your saved looks, your beauty profile and every photograph you take inside the app stay on your device and are never sent to us. The ad-supported version shows ads, and our advertising partner (Google AdMob) collects some device data to serve them. A separate ad-free build collects nothing at all.

2. Your face — read this part

Hitpan's main feature is a virtual makeup try-on, and its shade finder estimates your complexion from a photograph. Both involve pictures of your face, which are sensitive by any definition.

No photograph of you ever leaves your device. There is no account, no sign-in, no cloud sync and no server that could receive one.

Face detection runs on the device. Hitpan uses Google's ML Kit face detection, which locates the features of a face — lips, eyes, brows, the outline — so that makeup can be drawn in the right place. It runs entirely on your phone. The model itself is delivered by Google Play services; the image is not sent anywhere to be analysed.
The colour measurement is arithmetic inside the app. The shade finder reads the colour of a few small patches of skin from the photo and converts them to a complexion depth and an undertone. That calculation happens in the app, on your phone.
Nothing is stored unless you store it. The try-on and the finders hold a picture only while you are looking at it. A photo becomes a file on your phone only when you attach it to an item on your shelf, or when you press Save — and saving a try-on picture puts it in your own photo gallery, where you control it.
The camera permission is asked for when you open a camera feature, never at first launch, and the app is fully usable if you refuse it: you can try makeup on a photo from your gallery, or on the built-in reference models.

You can export all of it to a file you choose the location of, and delete any part of it, from Profile → Privacy inside the app. Because there is no server, deleting it in the app deletes it everywhere.

If you uninstall the app or lose the device, the data is gone. That is the direct consequence of it never being uploaded. Use the export if you want a copy.

4. Notifications

Hitpan can remind you before a product reaches the end of its period-after-opening. These are local alarms scheduled by your phone. Nothing about your collection is transmitted in order to schedule or deliver them, and the notification permission is only requested at the moment you switch reminders on.

5. Advertising — the one thing that does leave

The ad-supported version of Hitpan shows ads from Google AdMob. To serve them, Google receives your device's advertising ID and IP address, and may collect other device and usage information as described in its own policies. This is the only data about you that leaves your phone, and it has nothing to do with your collection, your photos or your beauty profile — none of which are ever sent anywhere, to Google or to anyone else.

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you are shown a consent form the first time the app runs, and you can change your choice at any time from Profile → Privacy → Ad privacy choices. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's Android settings, under Settings → Google → Ads.

Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's Privacy & Terms.

6. Generated images

The faces the app shows makeup on are generated images, not photographs of real people. They exist so that a look can be shown at six skin depths in the same pose and the same light. The scene pictures behind the Learn categories and the occasion cards are generated the same way. Nothing is generated while you use the app, and none of your own photographs are used to produce them. If you believe one of these images is inappropriate, you can report it from Profile → Privacy inside the app, or by writing to the address above.

7. Shade information

Hitpan does not ship a database of other companies' products or shade names, and it does not scan barcodes. Its shade library is a set of colours described in ordinary terms — depth, undertone, family, finish. Any brand name in the app is one you typed against your own item, and it stays on your device with the rest of your collection.

8. Children

Hitpan is not directed to children. It is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over, and it is not part of Google Play's Designed for Families programme.

9. Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to give you a copy of or to erase on request. Everything the app knows is on your device and under your control: export it, delete parts of it, or delete all of it, from Profile → Privacy. For anything relating to the advertising data described in section 5, contact Google, or use the ad privacy choices link in the app.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and a material change will be announced in the app's release notes.
