Privacy Policy — Bloom

Last updated: 6 August 2026

This policy explains what data the Bloom Android app (com.progedify.bloom) collects, why, and what choices you have. It is written to describe what the app actually does — not a generic template.

In short: Bloom asks for no account, no name and no email, and it operates no server. Everything you record — your cycle, symptoms, notes, journal, medicines, appointments, health records and photos — is stored only on your device and is never sent to us. The ad-supported version of the app shows ads, and our advertising partner (Google AdMob) collects some device data to serve them. A separate ad-free build collects nothing at all.

1. Who we are

This app is published by Progedify. For any privacy question or request, contact cse.sadhan@gmail.com.

2. Health data — read this part

Bloom records information that is sensitive by any definition: menstrual cycle dates, symptoms, moods, sexual and reproductive information you choose to enter, medicines, pregnancy-related entries, and photographs of health records.

None of it leaves your device. There is no account, no sign-in, no cloud sync and no server that could hold it. We cannot read it, we cannot produce it in response to a request from anyone, and we could not hand it over if we were asked, because we never receive it.

Two consequences you should understand:

3. Data the app itself collects

None that leaves your device. We operate no server and hold no user database.

DataWhere it is storedWhy
Cycle dates, predictions, daily logs, symptoms, moods Locally on your device only To show your history and estimate upcoming dates
Notes, journal entries, tags and attached photos Locally on your device only They are yours to keep and re-read
Medicines, appointments, saved places and people, reminders Locally on your device only To schedule notifications on your device
Health records and any photos or scans you attach Locally on your device only So you can find them when you need them
Settings — theme, home layout, PIN, water goal Locally on your device only To remember your preferences

This data is never transmitted to us. Uninstalling the app deletes it.

4. Data collected by advertising

The ad-supported version of Bloom displays ads through Google AdMob. To serve, measure and prevent fraud in advertising, Google may collect and process:

Your health entries are not used to target ads. Nothing you record in Bloom is read by the advertising code, shared with Google, or used to decide which ad you see. The ad software has no access to your entries, and we send it none. The data above is what the device itself provides to any ad-supported app.

Ads are also never shown on the screens where they would be inappropriate — the kick counter, a running focus timer, and the screens where you enter daily health data.

This collection is performed by Google, not by us, and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. See also how Google uses data from apps that use its services.

5. Your choices about ads

6. Permissions the app asks for

PermissionWhat it is for
NotificationsReminders you set — medicines, appointments, cycle predictions
Exact alarmsSo a reminder arrives at the minute you chose. Optional; the app still works without it, with a wider delivery window
CameraOnly when you choose to attach a photo to a note, journal entry or health record
InternetAd-supported build only. The ad-free build does not request internet access at all

7. Children

This app is intended for people aged 13 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has used this app and provided information, contact us and we will act on it.

8. Bloom is not a medical device

Bloom records what you tell it and estimates dates from your own history. It does not diagnose, treat or give medical advice, and its predictions are estimates, not facts.

9. Data sharing and selling

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with anyone. The advertising provider described in section 4 receives device data directly from your device, not through us, and receives none of your health entries.

10. Data retention

We retain no user data, because we collect none. Data held by Google in connection with advertising is retained according to Google's own policies.

11. Security

App data stays in your device's private application storage, protected by Android's own sandboxing. Bloom additionally offers a PIN lock and blocks screenshots and the app-switcher preview. Because we operate no account system and no server, there is no account of yours for us to lose.

12. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data about you, and to object to certain processing. Since we hold no personal data, you can exercise all of them yourself: Profile → Backup & restore exports everything, and Profile → Erase all my data deletes it. For advertising data, see Google's data and privacy controls. You are welcome to contact us and we will help where we can.

13. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a revised date above. Material changes affecting how data is handled will also be noted in the app's release notes.
